Queensland Growth Management Summit 2010

Closing date for feedback 26 March 2010

The Queensland Growth Management Summit 2010 to be held in Brisbane on 30-31 March 2010 is an opportunity to bring people together to discuss the many aspects of population growth and what it means for Queensland.

In the lead up to the Summit, the Queensland Government would like to hear your views on population growth in Queensland.

The Summit will explore the opportunities and effects of growth across three key themes – liveability, prosperity, and sustainability.

Current forecasts predict Queensland's population of 4 million could double to 8 million in less than 50 years through overseas and interstate migration and natural increase. This will mean changes to our lifestyles and the character of our regions.

Managed well, population growth offers opportunities for Queensland while preserving liveability, continuing prosperity and improving sustainability. Get involved and have your say on managing population growth.
